Keeping your blood sugar readings on your phone makes it much easier to monitor your diabetes. The Accu-Chek Instant Glucometer can automatically sync your glucose readings with your smartphone over Bluetooth, allowing you to view your reading history, trends, averages, and reports anytime. In this guide, I'll show you how to connect the meter to your Android phone or iPhone and start syncing your blood sugar readings.
Step 1: Download and Install the mySugr App
Open the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iPhone).
Search for mySugr and install the official app. Once the installation is complete, launch the app.
Step 2: Create Your mySugr Account
Tap Continue to begin the setup process.
Enter your email address and create a new account. A verification code will be sent to your email. Enter the code to verify your account and continue.
Step 3: Enter Your Personal Information
Fill in your basic details, including:
- Full Name
- Age
- Gender
- Nationality
After entering the required information, tap Next.
Step 4: Create a Password
Create a strong password for your mySugr account.
Read and accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, then tap Next to proceed.
Step 5: Configure Your Diabetes Profile
The app will ask for some health-related information.
- Select your type of diabetes.
- Choose whether you are currently taking Insulin or Tablets.
- Select your preferred Blood Glucose Unit (for example, mg/dL).
- Choose your preferred Carbohydrate Unit (such as grams).
You can change these units later at any time from the app settings if needed.
Step 6: Select Your Glucometer
The app will now ask which glucose meter you are using.
From the list of supported devices, select Accu-Chek Instant.
This allows the app to prepare for Bluetooth pairing with your glucometer.
Step 7: Pair the Accu-Chek Instant Glucometer
Inside the mySugr app, tap Connections and select your Accu-Chek Instant glucometer.
Now prepare the meter for pairing:
- Turn OFF the Accu-Chek Instant Glucometer.
- Press and hold the power button until the Bluetooth icon starts blinking on the meter display.
- On your phone, tap Connect in the mySugr app.
The app will begin searching for nearby glucometers.
Step 8: Complete the Bluetooth Connection
Once your glucometer appears in the app, select its Serial Number.
The app will ask you to enter the Bluetooth PIN.
You can find this PIN printed on the back of the Accu-Chek Instant Glucometer.
Enter the PIN and tap Pair or Connect.
After a few seconds, your Accu-Chek Instant Glucometer will be successfully connected to your smartphone.
You're All Set!
Your Accu-Chek Instant Glucometer is now connected to the mySugr app. Future blood sugar readings will automatically sync to your phone via Bluetooth, allowing you to view your glucose history, trends, reports, and other useful insights—all in one place.
