How to Delete Shortcut Virus from USB Pen Drive

Shortcut virus is very popular and common virus for pen drive, it will creates shortcut of every folder and files, if your pen drive effected with this types of virus than its required very powerful antivirus to clean this, what if you don’t have anti-virus and don’t want to format the pen drive because you have important data on this.

At this situation you can do one thing to clean shortcut folder virus from your pen drive, this is free and easy, but do it on your risk, if you lost any data or by mistake you did wrong than don’t blame on me, so lets try to clean your pen drive from virus.

1.       Right click on “start” and click on “command prompt (Admin)”

2.    Now type following code in command prompt (ATTRIB -H -R -S /S /D F:*.*) replace your pen drive letter name instead of “F”, now hit “enter” let it to complete, now check your pen drive, if still not fix try next one

3.       Right click on desktop “New” – “Text document” copy paste below code

          @echo off

attrib -h -s -r -a /s /d f:*.*

@echo complete  

replace the F to your pen drive letter drive name,

4.       Click on “File”-“Save As” give file name with extension “virus.bat” right click on “virus.bat” file and click on “Run as Administrator” this will auto delete shortcut virus from pen drive.
