Microsoft word shortcut keys: How to merge column and cells in Table

          We are here to learn how to merge column and cell in table by using keyboard shortcut keys. Everyone knows working in table format always difficult task specially merging columns and cells in table, I saw many people they don’t merge column and cell because they feel its too difficult and take much time because of this table look very odd and unshaped, lot of people work in table format for data entry, projects, thesis or preparing any document.  So here I will show you how to merge column and cell in Microsoft word by using keyboard shortcut keys. This shortcut keys will work all Microsoft word version like 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013.

1.       Select the column or cell which you want merge

2.       Hold “Alt” key and Press “A,M”

How to Repair Pen Drive from Write Protection and Not Formatting Problems

There are 3 methods to repair your pen drive most common errors of pen drive are "Write Protection" "Not Formatting" here I tried to solve this problem with these method, be sure by doing this your pen drive data will be lost. Try these 3 method 1 by 1 if your pen drive not repair successfully after 1 method than go for 2 method and than 3 method. 

First method

1.         Format with NTFS instead of FAT32

2.         After this, once again format with FAT32

Second method

1.         Insert the pen drive

2.         Right click on “My computer” and click on “Manage”

3.         Extend “Storage” and click on Disk management” option.

4.        Right click on the pen drive (i,h....) and select format, be sure about selecting drive.

Third method

1.                  Insert the drive into the USB port on the computer.

2.      Open “My Computer” and right click on the “Pen drive” and click properties.

3.                 Click on the “Tools” tab.

4.                 Click on the “Check Now” button.

5.          Click on both “Automatically fix file system errors” and “Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors” check boxes. Click Start.

6.                 Wait for the scan to complete. Click Close when finished.

Warning: All these method will lose your pen drive and storage and there is no guarantee that your pen drive will repair successfully.  Best of luck.

How to keep Safe your Children from Internet

A recently survey shows that 7.5 million Facebook users are underage below 13 year of age.  Of course they lied about age to stay active on the social networking site.  And the study shows that Facebook browsing exposed more than 5 million American households abuse, including viruses and identity theft, in India too, underage kids are using Facebook without parental supervision.  Many underage children see nudity and abusing things accidentally or by their wish even they don’t know what exactly they are doing at this underage.  Majority of parents of kids 10 and under seemed largely unconcerned by their children's use of the site.    

            Well here I am going to mention some tips for parents to protect their kids from harmful content on the internet.

1.         Be with your child when he/she browsing internet.

2.       Install site blocking software on your computer that block to objectionable sites and prevent children. 

3.       Allow your child to hang out with his/her friends, like playing outdoor games, going for good movies, sleepover rather than connect with friends on social networking sites.

4.       Avoid unlimited usage of internet, encourage your child to spent time on child-friendly content.

5.      If your kid likes playing games on the computer, install games that don’t require Internet access.

6.       Educate your child about the evils of the Internet, adult content, hate sites and violence. Ask him to inform you in case he comes across such content so that you can take the necessary precautions to protect him from these in future

7.    However, this does not mean your child will never come across harmful/ disturbing content. Also explain to him why you’d like her to stay away from social networking sites till she is of the right age.

8.         At last lock your computer by secured password and your children will access  
            internet under your guidance.
