How to Recover and Repair Corrupted Excel File

Method 1
1.        Open Microsoft Excel (Watch video tutorial......)

2.        Click on “Open” and select your “File”


3.        Click on “Open drop down menu” and tap on “Open and Repair”

4.        Click on “Repair” and then click on “Close”


If this method not recover your file go for next method

Method 2

1.        Open Microsoft Excel

2.        Click on “Open” and select your “File”

3.        Click on “Open drop down menu” and tap on “Open and Repair”

4.       Click on “Extract Data” after this you have two option “Convert to Values” or “Recover Formulas” you can take anyone as per your need.

hi, i cannot resolve my issue with excel using your method..so do you have any other method for my problem here..it keeps saying "excel cannot open the file because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file"..many thanks in advance.

(1) Scan virus from your machine and open excel and from there open your file
(2) Right click your file and "open with" and select excel.
which version of office your using if it is 2003 try to open in 2007 or 2013.......
dn't direct open by double click first open excel from there go to your file path and open....
